Ka-le-what? Ka-le-pa.

Kalepa, what's that all about? We'll tell you all about it.
Kalepa. Ka-lé-pa. Some of you may wonder what Kalepa stands for. Well, more than you might think.

First of all, Kalepa means ‘raspberry’ in Hawaiian. Frivole Framboos (FriFrambo), frivolous raspberry but written in Dutch, was the project name for spin-off company.

The Kalepa Ridge trail is also considered as one of the most beautiful hiking trails around the world, also located in Hawaii. As many hikers describe this trail as a unique experience, there couldn’t be a more perfect fit with what we want to do: helping organizations offer better customer experiences.

‘χαλεπα τα καλά’ (Kalepa ta Kala) is also a quote from Plato’s book Politeia, and is loosely translated as ‘beautiful things are hard to attain’. Managing the customer experience is one of the most complex challenges managers face and needs to be done step by step. But once you’re able to deliver great customer experiences, beautiful things will happen ;-)

Finally, the first letter of Kalepa is also a subtle reference to KU Leuven, one of the 50 best universities in the world. We’re a university spin-off, and we’re proud of it.

The name couldn’t be more perfect. Don’t you agree?
